Meet the Crew

Winter Williams Presents (WWP) is staffed by a wonderful crew of hard-working professionals who share a passion for community building and financial feminism. Quality vibes are our top priorities, along with communicating and collaborating in a healthy, happy and sustainable manner.

Winter Williams
Producer

Thanks very much for showing interest in our team! I’m Winter Williams, a lifelong music lover and Oaklander since 1992. My event experience began as a young dancer and theatre arts student. I soon realized I was more comfortable behind the spotlight than in front of it. Since then I’ve developed a range of production and community-building experience that includes strategic planning, event organizing, stage / house management, vendor / volunteer coordination, merch sales, sponsor development / fundraising, hospitality, logistics, marketing, board service (Thornhill Parent Faculty Club, Adopt a Special Kid, Sustainable Business Alliance, Flight Deck and Montclair Village Association) and more. I’m also a former banker turned financial feminist who has owned and operated Family Dog Walkers since 2012. Link to resume

Via de Jesus
Operations Manager

Originally from Quezon City, Philippines, Via made San José their home in 2023 after earning a Master’s in Environmental Conservation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As a newcomer to the region, they view every day at work as a chance to explore the rich culture and history of the Bay Area. Via’s passion lies in fostering community and helping others reconnect to nature and one another. They bring their experience in organizing environmental education events to their role as an Operations Manager with Winter William Presents, contributing to fun and meaningful gatherings that bring people together.

  • Kat Favognano

    Production Assistant

I hold a degree in Broadcasting with a minor in Marketing. After graduation, I moved to San Francisco and worked as a Promotion Coordinator at KFRC, an oldies radio station. More recently, I have continued to stay connected to the local music scene by booking small bands, managing volunteers for the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, and assisting NoisePop with festival logistics and promotions. I am passionate about creating an event to raise funds for programs that support marginalized communities, focusing on mental health, physical activity, and access to nutritious foods. As an interpreter in Oakland and San Francisco, I work closely with families and educators, bridging communication gaps and giving voice to communities. My goal is to help nonprofits specializing in gardening and education connect with local communities.

  • Henry Buckman

    Production Assistant

Howdy! I was born and raised in Berkeley by parents with deep community ties. My dad was an art professor at UC Berkeley and my mom owns a cluster of independent, used bookstores. I have a diverse professional background with over a decade of experience in music festival and event production. I am also an experienced chef, most recently at a popular restaurant in downtown Tahoe City. I bring lots of love, joy, and enthusiasm to every project I’m a part of, and my favorite part of any event is doing a walk-through during the peak of the day and watching all the smiles, hugs, and hi-fives amongst the crowd.

  • Mia Matsuno

    Production Assistant

Hi, I’m Mia! I have experience organizing diy art shows and concerts around Oakland during 2018-2020. I’ve helped on various projects with Winter Williams Presents and love being part of the team, even if it’s just occasionally. Always excited to contribute and learn more along the way!

  • DeVante Brooks

    Quality Vibes Artist

DeVante Brooks a.k.a. Aeos One (pronounced A-yos), is a calligrapher, sign painter and muralist born, raised, and residing in Oakland, CA. His background as a style writer (“graffiti artist”) set the framework for dedicated practice, consistent refinement and taking no shortcuts in the creative process. His craftsman-like approach is rooted in the notion of being able to create impactful and tangible works with his own two hands and keeping the dying arts alive – hand-painted signage, pinstriping, airbrushed clothing, and upcycled sculptures, to name a few.

  • Jason Lockett

    Production Assistant

Hey, my name is Jason. I'm an electrician by trade, event support by choice. I genuinely enjoy helping out with events and seeing the empty tables and chairs fill up. I've been working on different event crews for about 8 years now across the Bay Area, definitely fun work to me. I watch anime, work, and fix/break stuff in my spare time, recently started going to anime conventions, 3D printing is a newer hobby of mine that I'm learning currently.
