Thanks very much for swinging by!

I’m a curator of quality vibe gatherings, live music experiences and financial feminism. Why? Because healthy connections, artistic inspiration and economic empowerment are essential components joy and resilience. They also tend to prevent us from perpetuating oppressive cultural beliefs and practices.

Below is information about the current projects I’m working on and here are my upcoming events. If who I am and what I do resonates, please take a moment to sign up for the occasional short Quality Vibes email updates I send out.

Want to pitch in or collaborate? Have questions, feedback or ideas to share? Please email me!

Don’t see anything here that floats your boat so-to-speak? All good. But do please keep an eye out for other joy-based activities that might. These are trying times and it matters greatly how how we focus our energy.

Thanks again and take care out there!

Sincerely,

Winter Williams

What am I up to?

Bay Area Green Tours

I joined Bay Area Green Tours (BAGT) as a contracted Tour Manager and Guide in late 2023. Since 2008, BAGT has been organizing innovative experiences (for youth and adults) that feature environmental justice and creative solutions that sustainably minimize the impact of the climate crisis, from regenerative agriculture to zero waste food systems, LEED Green buildings to urban farms, intentional communities and much more.

I look forward to organizing / leading more tours that inspire and connect people who share a desire to change how we (individually and collectively) treat and interact with our environment.

If you or someone you know would like a specialized green tour experience curated according to your group’s interests, please email winter@bayareagreentours.org.

Community Service

My journey in community service began in 1985. A partial list of volunteer experience since then includes:

  • Spending social time with seniors in an assisted living community

  • Serving on a successful state-wide signature campaign for the Green Party

  • Board service for Thornhill Parent Faculty Club, Adopt a Special Kid, Sustainable Business Alliance and Flight Deck

  • Committee work for the Rotary Club of Oakland

Current community service projects include:

Consulting

I offer consulting ($35-$70/hour sliding scale) services to mission-driven organizations and mindful individuals planning meaningful projects and/or feel-good gatherings that accomplish each collaborator’s objectives in a sustainable manner. I’m also available to consult specifically on financial feminism, as well as to draft resources, compose articles and /or speak publicly.

Current consulting projects include:

Event Production

I specialize in coordinating entertainment, vendor participation, community engagement, sponsorship development, branding, promotion, strategic growth, equipment rentals, staffing and more.

We are also available to staff events ($18-50/hour) or assist with production (e.g. pick up supplies, distribute posters and postcards and organize storage). We working individually and / or as a team.

Current event production projects:

House Concerts

I’ve been hosting house concerts since hearing about Concerts In Your Home in 2015. It was a tremendous help at first but then I got the hang of it and took off on my own so I could host a wider variety of genres and artists.

100% of funds raised go to the performing artists unless I’ve needed to hire a sound engineer or event assistant. All house concert gatherings are casual and potluck. When needed, and I’m able, I offer lodging to touring performers.

Current house concert projects include:

Financial Feminism

Be it how we earn, bank, borrow, invest, spend or share, our choices impact economic ecosystems and power paradigms that traditionally perpetuate exploitation and oppression. Waking up to this reality and financially figuring out how to live in a manner that better aligns with our values is a rocky unmarked road. In my case embracing a concept like financial feminism is helping to guide me personally and professionally.
